The 2nd National Prize for Business Innovations was awarded to TASSICA EMERGENCY, TRAINING & RESEARCH S.A. in the second edition of the INCYDE Prizes that were held in Santiago de Compostela.
The foundation INCYDE (Institute of the Chamber of Commerce for the Creation and Development of Businesses) was founded in 1999 as an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and is dedicated to the support and the formation of entrepreneurial spirit in order to improve the qualifications of the entrepreneurs and the creation and consolidation of businesses. It is financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
The Chamber of Commerce, represented by the Foundation INCYDE, is currently operating a total number of 33 business incubators distributed within 71 communities, covering almost 1400 SMEs. For two years, which is the critical period for new businesses, they offer integrated advice, support and a physical space for the entrepreneur to start his or her business.
Within the 2nd National Conference of Entrepreneurs, held on October 4th and 5th in Santiago de Compostela, in which more than 300 businesses located in the “viveros camerales”, the office facilities sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, gathered, the foundation awarded the 2nd National Prize for Business Innovations to TASSICA EMERGENCY, TRAINING & RESEARCH S.A., a young business located in the VICAM facilities of Segovia 21 in Palazuelos de Eresma.
The award is the attempt to acknowledge the work of this Segovian enterprise in the area of innovation and education with the objective to optimize the sanitary service in the case of emergencies.
TASSICA, whose business goal is to establish itself within the field of I+D+I (Investigation+Development+Innovation), consulting and education in the area of medical emergencies, has already introduced its developed products and is also a supplier of education in different national and international high-level institutions that are dedicated to emergency management, like the Spanish Red Cross or the SUMMA 112 of Madrid.
What is more, in addition to other initiatives with great professional impact, it is currently organizing a “Master’s Degree in Urgencies, Emergencies and Catastrophes” in cooperation with the CEU-San Pablo University. This Master’s Degree has just been officially accredited by ANECA (National Agency of Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation) and is the first in this doctrinal area.
